There are currently 16,000 identified homeless students in LAUSD. That's 3,000 up from last year! Operation Dress Up is sponsoring a family this holiday season and we hope you'll join us. Sign up to help and you will be assigned a needy LAUSD family and given their wish list. Grab a group of friends to pitch in. All donations are to be dropped off at the LAUSD Homeless Education offices, located at 1430 South Julian Street in Los Angeles or at two other district offices in Reseda or Gardena. Operation Dress Up! was created by sisters, Megan and Phoebe, who read about the growing number of homeless students in Los Angeles due to the economic down turn. The girls established a year-round clothing drive, which allows other students to help as well. All donations are delivered to homeless shelters and organizations that work directly with homeless youth in Los Angeles and the surrounding areas.
